I reached over and took her hand, squeezing it tightly. It must've hurt, but she either couldn't tell or didn't care.
"It'll be fine," I whispered to her, but it was like she couldn't hear me at all.
We had talked about this a lot in the car. She was so worried, but I knew it would be fine. I could see it, but she wouldn't believe me.
"Come on," I had pleaded with her, "he could teach you everything."
"Or he could kill me!"
"Look," I said as I put her hand in mine, across the two car seats, "we need to take this chance. You're too strong, and you don't know how to control it. This will help." I glanced at her before turning my attention back to the road.
"You trust me right?" I said to her, already knowing what her answer would be.
"With everything, Abby, you know that."
"Than trust me on this."
She sighed and kissed my cheek, "I'm sure you're right. It's just, with everything that's been going on....all these new powers, you...seeing things...I just don't know what to believe anymore."
I kissed her hand, "Don't worry. Everything's going to be fine."
Now that we were here, about to meet the man who would give us some answers, I was just about as worried as she was.
What the frickle frackle I said: This is hella rad, what am I supposed to be looking at?
